Well, I researched other threads, and found that superglue is great for things like this..so that is what I used...put two coats on it and so far so good, I also put a dab of vicks vapor rub on it so he wouldn't pick at it...I also take care of a child who's mom is a nurse, she said liquid...

Ok, so I applied pressure...but as soon as he moves the blood just pours again...he snapped off the tip of his claw, so (what I am guessing, like a dog, his quick is showing,) and that is what is bleeding...do you think I just need to apply pressure longer...??

I just went up in my attic, used a christmas cookie tin, and an old kids lamp for the inside...the thing that took me the longest was finding the electrical tape in my husbands messy garage..lol...I will plug it into the thermocube the lamp will also be hooked up too, now if the weather goes...
I am new to chickens, they or she hasn't started laying yet (we bought 4 "hens" and three ended up being roosters, so I have to wait till spring to get more hens)... what exactly are you using the crushed egg shells for, are they in place of the oyster shell? and do you just sprinkle them?
