Doesn't matter what birds you have, non usually like to have things done to them
So... the easiest way to do anything to birds that don't like you touching them .. is wait until they roost at night time, go to sleep, give them an hour.
Then go into the coop with a small pen light.. or a light...
I think what you will find is that the bird is starving to death, when you were told that they had only been eating dog food, you should have taken some and then SLOWLY changed over the feed to chicken feed
This bird has no idea what you have put out for it to eat and is not eating anything at...
I'm not convinced it is Cocci to be honest, the other birds are not showing signs or symptoms
Even feeding medicated feed doesn't guarantee that they won't get cocci, it only helps them to build up a resistance to any strains that may be in the flock already that the others have built up an...
with the additional information my guess would be that she has either
1. EYP..
2. LL..
EYP, no treatment available, when it turns septic the birds die, not something that will pass onto your other birds
LL,
LYMPHOID LEUKOSIS
Big liver disease, LL, lymphatic leukosis, visceral lymphoma...
He still has a respiratory infection, the eye is an indicator of this
He will need different medication this time, as he has probably built up an immunity to the last lot you gave him, and you will need to give it longer, when he looks fine keep on giving the medication for an extra 4 days...
Roosters tend not to tuck their heads under their wings at night time... so any condensation will gather on the tips of the combs, and this in turn causes loss of circulation
Normally roo's will have a slightly blue tipped comb first thing on most mornings due to this habit, and usually its...
Seeing as you only have 5 birds... I recommend you get some BEEF .. tin CAT food... give them 3 large tablespoons mixed through their layer feed every morning..
The extra protein will help them to re feather a lot quicker
Keep them inside and out of the cold if you can
And make sure they do...
Have they been locked up in the coop for long periods of time while you have been away
If yes... then its boredom.. they are pecking each other .. give them a cabbage to play and peck at.. and give them some more room
If you can't put them out side... get some red cellophane paper and put it...
I would strongly suggest you get some sort of broad spectrum antibiotic to start with.... if the bloody droppings continue then she either has an extremely bad internal infection of the reproductive organs or she may have Coccidiosis.. and she is laying soft shelled eggs and pushing really hard...
Click on this link, some good information on mites
http://home.earthlink.net/~velvetsparrow/VSChickHealth.htm
The mite information is about half way down the page
Maggots eat dead and rotting things... what have you got in your coop that is rotting to entice the blow flies to lay maggots
Are you sure these are maggots and not lice or mites your talking about under the T shirt
Why are your birds not on roosts to sleep .. why are they sleeping on a T...
Once you have done as Spotted Crow has suggested and leave the bird in a warm area sitting on a warm towel (I heat mine in the microwave)
See if she improves, if she doesn't then she may have something else going wrong with her
It may be what they call Internal laying, if the yolks can't be...
Molt
Each year chickens molt, or lose the older feathers, and grow new ones. Most hens stop producing eggs until after the molt is completed. The rate of lay for some hens may not be affected, but their molting time is longer.
Hens referred to, as "late molters" will lay for 12 to 14 months...
