    Unhatched chick - still alive

Put it in an incubator, or find something warm like a heat lamp. Make sure its not too hot, around 98 degrees. If there have already been babies hatching then its probably time to help the chick, they usually hatch all within 24 hours. You want to be careful though, nothing worse than opening an...

    Kholmogory geese

Here is some more info I have found: http://geomedia.top/kholmogory-breed-of-geese/ It talks about how their were once many different lines of them, but only two remain. They talk of how there might be some tula in them ( a type of russian fighting goose) Ive seen tulas from time to time.

    Kholmogory geese

I think an underlying problem with "deformed geese" is that most of the geese sold in hatcheries are not really the pure breed, so they dont always look how you expect. Also as a side note, there are probably all kinds of poultry breeds we dont know about and that have gone extinct without us...

    Kholmogory geese

From what I have researched, their exact origin is unknown, but they say they might be a cross of chinese and arzamas geese, arzamas geese being another breed that I cannot find, but it looks kinda like an embden. I would say a cross between super african, embden, and also add in a little dewlap...

    Kholmogory geese

Hello everyone. I have recently learned of a goose breed called kholmogory geese. I have never seen these before, but they look like an African with a deeper keel and bigger dewlap. They are supposably a cross between European and Asian geese. I wonder if anyone knows of anyone in the USA that...

Can ducks eat shrimps and small fish?

Too much salt is a bad thing, but if the shrimp are put in the pond the freshwater should clean them out a bit.

    Great Pyrenees Problems

Ok, so I have about 1/2 an acre fenced for my gaggle of geese and muscovy ducks. They where guarded by my Great Pyrenees, but recently I tried to add some chickens into the mix. She just loves to chase chickens, she will play with them to death. She never had a problem with my waterfowl, because...

Muscovy with black spots on bill.

I have always had ducks around and try to keep them im-peck-ably (lol get it) clean. I am such a clean freak, to the point of where I would dunk each duck and clean their always dirty underbelly. This has been going on for about 20 some years, but today I noticed on one of my juvinile muscovy...
