    Table Top Showing Questions

Look up the Serama council of North America, I think they have a table top card, it tells you everything they are judging for, and also a little of what to look for. I would get in contact with some breeders who show, from my experience, everyone is super willing to give tips. they might take a...

    Showmanship bantam question

I personally really like using my serama hens for showmanship. I know some people who love their silkies for showmanship, but I had a judge who said that you really need to be a good showman to use a silkie, because of the crest feathers, and feathered legs. It just makes more work for your 7...

    SOP Question

to me, this guy has really nice leg length, to give you an idea. you can see that his legs give him enough room to pose his wings properly, but not too long that he looks like a flamingo This one to me has too long of legs, BUT if you have a hen with too short of legs, it would be benefitial...

    SOP Question

Not entirely sure about the definition of creeper legs, but I think @AMERAUCANAS4REAL covered it? As I am sure you know, when a serama is posing, you want a vertical wing, you want the leg to be long enough that the wing does not drag on the ground, and is not too far off the ground. It depends...

    4-H-er thread!

I'm on the same boat here, I have a Jersey Giant pullet that hatched back in April that should be laying any day now! I have a hatch planned for February for our fairs, and I am really hoping she will be laying well enough for a couple of eggs from her!

Can Anyone Help Judge My Cockerels?

There are a few factors. What colors are your hens? What kind of showing are you planninng on doing? Which one is closer to SOP? For pictures, well lit, so we can see everything correctly. Idealy, they would be taken at bird level (putting them on a taller flat surface like a table helps) with...

    American serama thread!

First one I would NOT consider a serama. That being said, it could be just a mixed breed/very poor quality serama. Thats second one I would say is a serama. The hens are probably seramas. They might also be OEGBs but I might be completely off on that. Get a couple more opinions but If you are...
