u know if ur roo is let out of the coop area he will most likely hang out near the coop and his hens like mine do and i havent had any jealousy issues he is just happy to reunite with them later onin the day
oh by the way i have a small flock of 14 12 hens and 2 roo's 2 buff orph 1 buff...

sometimes u need to have light when the season wanes
try putiny a light in the coops all day and night
for many breeds stop or reduce egg production when the weather changes and less light in a day
i have a mixed flock of 14 birds
my #1 in the pecking order and #4 inthe pecking order r sharing a clutch of egg when #1 jumps out #4 jumps in
now #1 tolerates #4 sitting for awhile then #4 jumps out and #1 goes back
only every once in a while #1 will chase #4 out of the box but mostly friendly...

one hen is #1 in the peckung order and the other hen is #4
when #1 leaves the box #4 jumps in and viseaversa sometime #1 will chase #4 out but ussually very agreeable situation my question is
