    Chicken laying weird shape egg died.

    We were pretty sure she was the oldest chicken we had. Our barred rocks are older. I know have another hen laying the same type egg consistently ever day. I've seen no signs of any hen being lath argue, not eating, or drinking. They are all acting normal.

    Thanks Kathy, I saw that thread and that's what lead to me thinking it may be blackhead. Now I'm looking to see what I can do to prevent further loss.

    How much wheat bread and such would you say you put out per chicken per day? We had a natural hatch and I estimate they should be of age for processing around the mid of January.
