• Just submitting pics of Sampson and Winnie. Hopefully the size is ok. If they have to be exact they won’t make it. They are all less then 3000x2000 so hopefully they will accept them for judging.
Received a mystery chick from Murray McMurray that has feathered outer legs and toes. I think he’s a male but not sure. I think he’s a Brahma but I’m not sure of that either. He’s the tiniest of all the chicks and he’s 5 weeks old. He’s very tall - looks like a baby Ostrich when he stretches upward. We named him Sampson Featherfoot. He knows his name. Posting some pics. Maybe someone can tell what he is. 😊

Couple more pics of Sampson. I just love him - just don’t know what he is.

I would take a guess that he’s a cockerel, but I’d try posting in the ‘What Breed or Gender is This?’ forum in a couple weeks and seeing what everyone thinks. :)

Oh, ok. I was thinking it might be too early. Thanks 😊
Been busy with raising hens, have 7 hens and one young Roo, Winnie. I didn’t intend on having a rooster but she turned into a he and we love him. He’s a terror at times but I’m hoping his testosterone will lower with time. (Wishful thinking.). We have raised 2 African geese, Murray and Jewels, and they are beautiful, loyal and very smart. Murray is still learning “inside voice” even though he’s outside. 😊
Our Geese, Murray and Jewels, are awesome. They grew 6-8” a week in height for the first few weeks then they started bulking up. I give them nutritional yeast, romaine, kale, electrolytes, vitamin E daily and their feathers are gorgeous. They free graze all day with the turkeys. They think the turkeys are their babies and watch over them.
    We love them!

He’s quite handsome! I don’t have a rooster. Yet. 😊 I’d have to say the Barred Rocks are also my favorite. They are the first to make friends with me. They are also the most attentive and actually seek affection. I really think chickens, in general, are underrated. I just love them! Thank you for the kind words. Have a great nite!

Thanks! Hopefully him and the girls will increase the flock with half a dozen or so baby chicks this year!
