So, While I Was Away (a lady watched my flock of pekin bantams for a few days) i got a phone call saying we had chicks.. since getting back they're now ranging from 2-6 days old. They're adorable and happy, all waddling around, eating mash and drinking water from a low bowl so they can't drown...
Hiiiiii, Well i currently have pekin bantams think they can also be called something else... anyway i love them... they're so cute and fluffy and very calm. they don't scratch.. cause they can't due to the feathers on their feet... but if you want a layer these aren't for you aha cause they lay...
Something has just come into mind since i've started on BYC... can someone clarify that this little man is a pekin bantam? just cause he dosent look exactly like my hens.. maybe cause he's male... Thanks... I only have a screen shot from a video..
thanks,

I have a cute pekin bantam male, he's adorable and his noise calling thing isn't too loud at all just rather high pitched. this is what i was told by the breeder cause i haven't actually heard any other chickens noise. My chicken coop is about 30 meters from my kitchen and i can't hear him...
Hiya :)
Just wondering at what age should i attempt to sex my pekin bantams? I've got so many different answers from people, one breeder told me you couldn't until they were 16weeks old. Another said 8weeks?
Any Clue Anyone???
Thanks Rebecca xox
