Yes, I have other chickens and had my first experience with a sour crop on one of my Americaunas years ago. It was very sad. I read up and did all I could for nearly a month and I could not help her. She also had a pendulous crop where it hung down and was very big. Since then, I have been very...
She is so fluffy that a pictures would not reveal anything. It has gone down since yesterday but is golf ball sized and very hard. I am hoping it is not a tumor . She seems to enjoy sitting on my lap while I pet and stroke her while I massage the crop. She closes her eyes and relaxes.
I have a six year old little red cochin that I love dearly. She has been a wonderful mother and surrogate mother. She knows her name "Buffy" and runs to me when I called out "wormies". I noticed that she was not excited about a nice fat nightcrawler I brought her. She was moving her head...

Henny Penny is a tad over five years old. I hatched her as a tiny chick and she has been healthy and active for years until a couple weeks ago. I noticed that she has been panting or gasping for air. Her poop is pasty. I am pretty sure that she does not have a respiratory disease but I am a...
Bringing in another hen for a companion works great. I have isolated a little serama hen and that was what I did, I brought her in the serama rooster (her husband) for hospital visits. He didn't mind at all and she likes it too. Got him out of the freezing cold for a few hours and I think he...
I have a good sized flock with all different kinds of chooks. The smaller breeds, I have about five Seramas, I have had them for years and when winter comes, I provide them with a warmer temperature inside their coop. It was so cold this past weeks that even putting bag balm on my Serama...
