Try Lakenvelders then. We love ours. She thinks she’s a roo and guards everyone. She’s also super inquisitive.

Snake really seems to be the only option. Or some illness but then there would be other indicators and they would not always die overnight. Anything else would be a more obvious “cause of death” Keep us posted on the results
