    Help Please: hen respiratory distress

Alice, a cinnamon queen hen, aged 11 months. Fine until mid afternoon.. couldn't find her. She seems to be having difficulty breathing with audible wheezing. Suggestions and advice welcome. Edited to add video in replies of Alice's laboured breathing.

What did you do in the garden today?

Hello. New on the gardening thread. Yesterday I noticed all my demolished milkweed (from over 30 monarch caterpillars) are making a quick come back. One caterpillar stayed and made it's crysalis under the arm of my Mary statue. Which is just lovely. My gladiolas are peeking up every where...

    Egg colour genetics broody hen

My hen has gone broody and I've decided to let her hatch a few young ones. A good friend of mine has fertile hatching eggs of mixed genetics. Ducks!! Mallard/rouen male/female help?!

Hmmm.... I'll pay more attention to their quack. They mostly mumble as I call it. Just little noises, not full quacks. Unless I'm not around and they are looking for me. They've out grown their whistle , calling for me. So when they do quack...(duck for, "mum! Where are you?") I'm not around...

    G.L. Wyandotte Chick Growth

She seems healthy and holding her own. She is a typical redhead... independent and self sufficient, takes no nonsense from the others. Lol I give them all scrambled eggs in the mornings. I hate to post in medical emergencies if she seems other wise healthy. Thank you for your insight. I...
