    Roo or Hen?

    Interesting. The polish rooster I lost had no comb or wattle. Curled tail feather and different top knot. The other 2 polish I thought were hens. No combs, but wattles. Their tail feathers are upright but rounded and not curled. So maybe all 3 were roosters....

    Any idea on this breed? I received a surprise box from the Chick hatchery about 8 weeks ago. I think she is gorgeous, just can't figure out what she is exactly.

    I ordered an assortment of day old chicks about 8 weeks ago. Breeds were unknown when they arrived which has led to an interesting time for my kids and I to try to identify them! This one I believe is a Lakenvelder, but is it a cockerel or pullet ?
