Had a fox attack last night when I forgot to lock up the birds about 3 hours after dark. Heard a rawkus and ran out to find my two hens cowering near my house door and a pile of white rooster feathers next to the coop! Thought it had been nobbled for sure. I went and found my other rooster then...
My oldest hen, about 2 years old has developed very thickly and unevenly scaly feet. They have uneven big scaly ridges which look like they would peel off if you tried, (but they are actually pretty stiff). The feet are dry, pale and and look flaky.
I looked up fungal infections of chicken...
Ive made a thread in the incubation section, would appreciate some advice over there. No one has replied so far.
