    Yikes! Doesn't fill me with confidence! I know its sort of early days, but yeah the comb and stocky legs made me a bit skeptical.. and not a purebred as sold! Still a gorgeous bird, and would hate to re-home but can't have roosters in my neighbourhood. Does anyone have any pictures to compare...

    Hi byc, I have a gorgeous wee buff whom I've been too scared to prematurely name. She was sold as a pulley but I'm not too sure. No crowing or roostery behaviour (yet?) But really want to put the mind at ease; Bonus points to whoever can guess the breed of the brown and gold beauty :)

    2 month old barred rocks - roos or pullets?

    I was told they were purebred but do have some skepticism, and hence what made it so hard to sex them. They're well natured and docile, but aside from physical characteristics I couldn't really tell. Great birds.

    Hi byc! I'm Rob from new zealand- just starting a flock with a couple Orpingtons and barred rocks. I recently picked up 2 barred rocks from a breeder that had not sexed them- so I've been trying to work it out myself! Can anyone try sex these? I'm resonably sure they're pullets on...
