Hello BYC Forum Goers!
We live within the city limits here in Santa Cruz, and need to find a home (in the country) for our Roo. He just crowed for the first time yesterday, so I am sure the neighbors will be anxious to see him go.
He is a delightful bird, acquired from the local feed & seed...

I live in the Monterey Bay area and am looking for a good place to get some hens. I don't want to start from an egg or a hatchling because I have never raised chickens before. Does anyone have any recommendations or advice? Thanks!
Wow, I am so impressed with all the nice coop construction by people on this site! My boyfriend and I have a small yard and are trying to decide on a coop design. Yours is lovely! Compact and still looks nice. Do you have any advice on construction and/or plans? Thanks!
I live in Santa Cruz and am interested in providing a new home for the hens. Can you let us know if you are still looking for a home for them and if so can you e-mail us some pics?
Thanks!
