After looking at the barred closer, I would say her legs are more to the whiteish (is that a word?) side than yellow. Not a bright yellow for sure. Anything else to look for to see if she is a barred rock and truly not a maran?

Ok. I tried to get some better pics. They are camera shy! I tried to get a good shot of her legs, they are a greenish color I would say. Also, as a side question, should my Cuckoo Maran (assuming the store got that one right) be darker than this to be a hen?

I have a Welsummer about 5 weeks old now. I got her from Wilco Farm Store. She is feathering out very well, but the feathers on her head are pretty light colored. I expected them to come in a darker brown.
