I finally got some buckeyes! Woohoo!

At what point is the feed bad? How can you tell? Is some mold ok? How much water should cover the feed?

I just went out and got some grains to try this. I'm going to use the 5 gallon bucket method. I've got 15 layers. About how much feed will they eat in a week?

I got a call from the hatchery today. They said they need a minimum order of 25. Is there anyone in Northeast Ohio wanting some Buckeyes???

I built one of these coops with an attached run at my old house. I ended up adding on to it, but in general it was very low maintenence and easy to build. I will be building a new coop at this house within the next few weeks and am seriously considering building this one again....

I ended up ordering my buckeyes from Welp hatchery. Everyone around here was sold out. Now to get going on the new coop......

I live in Portage county, Ohio. I have been researching the Buckeye breed for about a year now as they were originally developed less than an hour from here. Is there anyone local that has some chicks available now? Thanks!
