I plan to put grazing boxes in for mine so they have access to fresh greens but can't kill the roots so the plants just keep growing. You can actually probably install them now and the grass under those boxes will just keep growing.

How long does it normally take with a soak? The scabs are not black. They are still yellowish. I will have better pics tomorrow

I have her seperated with a friend. She wasn’t limping but was holding her foot up. She walked normal. Not sure how long its been like this. I just found it today. I got Prid. I’m not really interested in surgery just yet but will do it if it becomes necessary.

I am picking up supplies for her in town but will soak it first thing in the morning.

Did I just catch it early? Hoping I will be able to get her healed up quickly.

I don’t have access to a vet so I have to do whatever I can for it. I have nutri-drench for my chickens and quail. I am going to try to make a mash and feed it with the chick feed I have and hopefully do it some good. I will get pictures as soon as I can.

I got a ringneck dove from a breeder that seems to be in pretty bad shape. Doesn’t move around much, fluffed feathers, not eating much, and very thin. What can I do to help it. It is probably a few months old but not sure exactly. She did say this one and another she gave me were runts and had...

Just to update, the chick hung on for a few days, but I found it dead yesterday morning. I guess it was just meant to be, but I was hoping for different. Thank you all for your replies.

Has anyone ever made home made inserts for the auto turning tray in this incubator? I want to do separate rows of button quail eggs when I get them again but there are not enough inserts included with the incubator. I have also contacted the manufacturer directly and they do not sell them...

Well it seems to be doing better. It got out of the cup on its own and is working on sitting upright with its feet underneath and walking. Yay!!

I don’t have access to the nutridrench yet but will get some. I was able to soak some food enough to get it to eat that. It seems to perk up a bit but is still not doing great. Hopefully the food will help some

I had to set up a NICU for one of my chicks. He has been very lethargic, trying to move but not being able to do much, barely opening its eyes, and has curled toes. This is the only way I could secure it in a cup to try to give it time to develop more. I also gave it vitamins and some sugar...

i knew they were broody and adored them for that because I love watching mama with her babies. I did not expect this though! LOL!
