I can appreciate your concerns and frustration with it foot not seeming to improve and the keel issue added to the mix. How old is the hen? Can you wrap some paddling and non stick gauze loosely around her to cushion the area?
What is your gut telling you? I’d Stop the neosporian since it’s not improving. Try something else. Keep the bird separate from the flock. The last thing you want is the infection to spread.
I’m not against antibiotics. I’m about using the right antibiotic for the bacteria that is causing the infection. Without a culture, the bacteria strain is unknown. Perhaps a topical triple antibiotic applied just to the wound versus treating the whole body. Follow your gut! Do what feels right...
