I'm curious about the call for electrolytes, because chickens don't sweat? We benefit from electrlytes in really hot weather because we sweat out salt etc. How does it help a chicken?
Shes not been wormed. I have seen no evidence of parasites in her or my other birds.. I considered working her when she was sick but was worried about the effect on her health. The scale is a good idea. I can probably McGuyver something to use on my kitchen scale for her.

OK, so I'm pretty sure she had a sour crop/doughy crop. She may have had an actual impaction at the start. I kept her inside 2 weeks, then inside at night but let her out with the others during the day (it was cold and she is SO thin, plus I wanted to feel her crop in the morning.
