Actually, there are 2 behind her. The white one is a leghorn pullet (same age) The black is an ayam cemani that we just introduced. No, we do not breed. These arw spoiled rotten feather kids. 🤗
It is very clear that she is not a leghorn pullet. Any thoughts on what she is? Her legs are huge. She is around 13-14 weeks old. I still think she's a pullet, but ultra huge!!! Very little comb and wattle development.
Thankyou for any input.
Possible pendulous crop. This mornings exam yielded an impacted crop. I am so upset. I have to be away today. I set her up with acv, grit and some feed. I'll massage her when I get home. If I am unable to resolve it, and I'm skeptical that I will, ill have to get her to the vet. She does not...
Thankyou so much. She has not been handled at all. She's been making some crazy sounds that made the fat boy (our rooster) run from the barn to the house to see what he could see. Lol. She's in quarantine on our lanai.
This pretty peep has been at our local feed store for 2 weeks. I believe this is a hen. I was thinking around 10 weeks, but she is clucking. Any thoughts on age and gender? This bird makes a strange sound when our rooster crows.
Our Sally was given to us as an adult. Then we ordered from Meyer Hatchery. My newest group is from Tractor supply. I hand raise them and am actively involved with them. They do not interact with other family members the way they do with me.
