They wouldn't be around small children, just 7-ish and older. No this isn't a wanted to buy ad, just trying to select a breed that would be good for my flock. And I've never looked too much in to orpingtons, any particular reason they are so great??

Don't the EE's have a fairly distinctive look? That was my first thought. But when I looked at pictures of them, none of my chickens seem to look quite like them.

I have 6 hens. 1 rhode island red, 2 black tailed buff marans, 1 dominique, 1 leghorn and 1 black copper maran. They are all fairly young and very friendly!
They look like rhode island reds or black tailed buff marans to me. I have one red and two marans and I thought my marans were reds until recently. It's so hard to tell until they are a little bit older!
I'm looking for a breed of rooster that would be good to show and will adapt well to the rest of my flock. I'm thinking Brahma or Delaware? any suggestions??
