My pygmies were good at eating brush and they are usually pretty cheap around here at least you can find them for $30-40.

Oh, that is SO annoying! I really dislike having chicks in a brooder for that exact reason! I've heard of something called a chicken nipple watere that is supposed to work well but have never tried it.

My lab-bloodhound mix had puppies a week or two ago and while she's not the most diligent mommy in the world, my ROOSTER, Kellog, certainly is!

What can I do about it? They are inside the barn and there is a heating lamp, though they don't use it...

He's a welsummer and the tips of his comb are turning black?

My husband says the chicks can't go outside yet but they smell SO bad! I clean their box out everyday but they are really smelly little critters!!! I think they are going on two months old.. isn't that old enough to go outside?

I have some welsummer/leghorn, welsummer/cuckoo maran, and welsummer/ araucana crosses due on Feb 6th... can I still play?

It's really strange for me to have an animal who doesn't really seem to 'play.' Every pet I have ever owned did some sort of play. Horses, goats, dogs, cats, parakeets.... etc.. So, do you consider chickens 'playful'?
