    every now and then my coop gets a nasty smell, a nauseating smell, especially when it rains. When this happens, I have to clean the coop and run. which I have no problem with. I was wandering if anyone had any homemade cleaning agents? something for smell especially! Thanks!

    I have two Rode Island Reds that are already laying, and I have them in a pin with nine younger chicks, (4-7 weeks old). I want my Rode Island Reds to keep producing eggs normally but don't know what to do about food. They need laying pellets, right? But that's not good for the younger chickens...

    Do you have a trail camera? This is a great idea, although I have never used one for my chickens, I do use them for hunting, and you can catch anything red handed. When we complete our coop, I am going to put one up to see if the raccoons can get in.

    Roofing!

    I am in the process of building my chicken coop and have an enclosed coop connected to a 10x13 run. Do I need a roof? Or can I just have a screen roof? We will make it predator proof either way, but I was wanting to know if you need a roof, like a tin roof, to keep them dry. Thanks
