I thank all of you for your input!
Incredibly, the hen is still around. Thanks to your help here, and good old google, I can almost certainly say that all of you are correct and that I am dealing with EYP. I am doing my best, but the hen is still in rough shape and I fear that it is losing...
That is very helpful Kevin!
What steps (to check for a stuck egg) I worry that I would break the egg (but that may be a moot point?) I am not worried at this point about eating her eggs. Let's get her to survive first and (then worry about disposing a few weeks of eggs should she make it past...
Hello all. Longtime member here, usually just reading and searching for info.
I have a (4 year old?) leghorn that I think may be egg bound. Penguin waddle and all. But her abdomen is totally bloated as well.
I did the epsom salt bath, first time when I spotted it Tuesday. She still waddles...
OMG, Loubapache...that is superb! I was going to axe my collapsed gazebo. (no roof, just the floor and railing) It is in the wrong spot to turn into a hen house, and I could not envision it ressurected as a gazebo. I may need to rethink this.
Keep the inspiration coming. I am loving this!
Yes, but only if you build it in the top of an oak tree?

I know this is NOT the correct section to post this, but I do not know where else would be the best place?

I ran across this post while searching for my lost dog I am not in VA, but some members here are bound to be and I thought I'd...
So did you get your dog back, Sunnychooks?
I would be on every doorstep in the neighborhood, if I was closer. For now, I can only rejoice in the two recent sightings around where she went missing, the last one being today. Thanks to everyone for all the suggestions. They are being passed along.
Yes. Springfield Virginia.
She has been spotted again, which is hopeful, but as of this moment, she has not allowed herself to be caught yet (and she runs when her name is called, the opposite of her normal behavior)
One of my dogs went to her new home this past weekend, 1200 miles north of me, in Fairfax County Virginia, Springfield area. She ran off yesterday (monday) morning. Her new family has alerted all the usual venues: posters, vets, shelters, animal control, police, mailmen, fedex, and the...
