Thanks. I wasn't so sure, but one of my silkies has now become depressed and inert and seems to have a distended crop so I'm suspecting it may be Marek''s and I may need to cull them both.

I have a 16 week-old wyandotte pullet who started limping badly about three weeks ago. It seemed to get better after a few days but now it's got worse again. Her left foot doesn't seem injured at all and she seems otherwise healthy, but she is hopping badly and sitting down as much as she can...

Thanks I've been thinking that but hoping not. Their legs don't seem any thicker and they didn't feather up any sooner but they are dark around the neck. There is obviously a lot of variation in this.

Here are my GLW chicks at about 11 weeks in Sydney, nicely posed alternately fore and aft on the edge of their coop. Can anyone help me decide if the ones which have developed the red combs already are roosters?
