My peacock and peahen have stayed outside, on the roof of our chicken house all year. However we are having a snow event with low temps, in kentucky. Peahen is sleeping on a metal roof,and peacock is sleeping sleeping on a shingled roof. Should I just leave them alone,or catchem and put them up...
My turkey hen is doing the exact same thing. Seems to be worse ifr she gets excited or runs. I have been giving her sumlet in her drinking water,with little or no results.
just because you are not seeing something disturbing them, doesent mean its not there. preds are fast and sneaky, please secure your chickens, i lock mine up every night, even though i have a huge dog ready for an invasion. you wil be suprised how fast one pred will destroy a flock. best wishes
