    how much do i feed chicken scratch?

    I mix a bit of cracked corn, oats, sunflower seeds, grit together and throw it in their pen as I get them in for the night. They clean it up, that is what I use for a treat and in addition to their food. Is that too much at bedtime?

    Keep the younger two and get rid of the older ones. Then no more bullying and it will give you time to build on to the run before you get anymore if you ever want more.

    Bedding for winter

    Again, what is best bedding for winter for the floor of the coop. I have pea gravel as base but need to cover it with a good insulating ?? Yes, they run free in run during the day , also still have problems with sleeping in the nests??

    No laying

    My ladies quit laying after a fox killed one of the five. I kept them in for several days and it seems the fox has moved away but they are very skittish. The one that was killed was Marge-in-charge. Any suggestions?
