    Dark poop

    One of my baby chicks (2 weeks old) has had dark, (black) kind of runny poop. It acts fine, eating, drinking, active. Any idea what is causing this? (it had the dark runny poop the day I brought it home)

    I always have vetRx on hand, this stuff is great!! i use it in the vapo but i also warm it up, soak a q-tip and rub it in the little nose holes, enough to where you can tell when they are swallowing it, you will know, because they dont like it

    anyone hatching on or around the 28th?

    black silkie is sitting on 3 eggs ( not her own, they will be mixed chicks ) due on the 28th and a golden phoenix sitting on 4 ( mixed also ) due on the 30th.

    Hello, new to BYC Forum, this place is Great, new to keeping chickens also, we have 19, 8 different breeds, 9 are 10 months and 10 are 7 months old. they are such a joy, and good for thr soul. most of the snow melted today and they were on a mission to scratch and scratch they did!!
