    broody bantam not laying

She went broody on me before. I thought she was gone found her sitting on 10 eggs underneath a tree.. No roo so no chance of babies. She is now not laying eggs and staying in the coop. When I bring her out she eats drinks and goes back in. What should I do?

    Bantam hen has gone broody

Thank you so much. I am going to take the eggs away now and put her in the coop. Tomorrow I will figure out a way to make a broody buster.

    Bantam hen has gone broody

There is no way the eggs are fertile. Not sure what a broody buster is. She will not let me near the eggs. I guess I have to get brave and just take them.

    Bantam hen has gone broody

She is laying her eggs under a tree in some ferns. I thought she was gone except she would show up to eat a couple times a day. She will not let me near the eggs to take them away. She has been outside in the rain and cold. I live in central Florida so it isn't that cold. She has not been...

    rooster pinning down hen

My rooster is pinning my hen down by the neck. He also ran over and pecked the back of my leg this morning (hard enough to leave a mark). What could be going on? They are both around 41/2 months old.

Thanks for the info. on the collar. If I get complaints I will try that. It sure does sound funny!

is crowing, or is it really a roo?

Thank you for responding. I think I will keep him as long as possible. If there are no complaints I should be able to keep him. I only have him and a EE. I don't want to leave my EE without her partner. They stay very close to each other.

is crowing, or is it really a roo?

Thank you. I put some pictures on here that weren't very good when he was younger. People thought he was a red sex link pullet. Now I have the problem of what to do. I am not allowed to have a roo where I live. I need to find him a good home.

I have a beautiful red sex link that I thought was a hen but now she is crowing. Am I wrong? Here is her most recent pic. She is around 4 months old.

How to get rid of a possum?

If you don't want it dead you could trap it. You can probably get a trap from the humane society. Of course they want a fee for the rental.
