    glass thermometer vs accurite thermometer?

    I'm trying to adjust the bator for my first hatch! The glass thermometer in the brinsea mini eco reads 100 degrees fahrenheit. however, the accurite digital thermometer reads 98.2. which one should I rely on?

    whoo! 2 more replies while I was posting I check everywhere possible for eggs, but maybe I'm just missing them? I hope she's mixed up, though she was laying age way before winter..

    that could be a possibility. but my past egg eaters have always left evidence behind, ie wet shavings, some yolk, etc.

    what the heck? surely she should be laying or crowing by now.she LOOKS like a hen (that's why I say she), but she acts like a rooster. when a rooster tries to mount her, she attacks him and tries to get him with her nonexistent spurs she will even come after me!

    I've never had silkies so I don't know how close in size they are to a standard egg size. If they're smaller maybe I can fit more than 10 in there!

    Oh my gosh. What can cause an abscess? As for antibiotics, is there a name brand? I've never had a sick chicken before and I'm not too sure what to do. My parents aren't very helpful
