    Even though MPC silkies come from a hatchery, its a partnership and they are still MPC exclusive silkies. They look really good and are worth the money. The silkie chicks are sexed through vent sexing and this is according to MPC customer service.

    Probiotics probably aren't going to give you enough results in a short amount of time, electrolytes may not even as well. I reccomend gro gel for short term baby chick health improvement.

    I know MPC doesn't actually DNA test their silkies (which I haven't seen for sale in ages), and the chicks would be a lot more expensive if they did. From what I understand they've developed some type of special sex linked trait system with their silkies.

    A more accurate way to sex all birds if you're not aware of their genetics is vent sexing. In my opinion, vent sexing is just as easy and more accurate. But you will have to wait at least a week probably to vent sex.
