Hello everyone! Connor here! Completely redid my BYC page. I raise blue, splash, and white show silkies, along with some other breeds(hopefully some bantam cochins in the near future) I am all about poultry and have always been fascinated with birds since I was little. I recently got into...

    5-toed Silkie

Its not that uncommon, most breeders just sell them for pet quality and don't breed them. But they still make great pets

    Breeding gray silkies(nevermind everyone)

Hmm this is interesting, I forgot it was accepted! Oh well, don't think anyone near us has any, so anyone know how to maybe get some "gray colored birds" through crossbreeding? I know they aren't true gray birds and the breeding results can vary, but she wants pretty crosses. She has red, buff...

    Breeding gray silkies(nevermind everyone)

Ok, i have a friend who is not yet a BYC member(I think I have convinced her to join ) She really wants to breed some gray silkies, but doesn't know what colors to cross to get gray birds. I don't know anything about gray silkies, I just raise accepted colors right now. Thank for advice...

Male Silkies?!? I think...what to do???

Sorry, but my silkie roosters love to get into crowing contests. They aren't as loud as my Brahma roosters, but I can hear them from the house when I am outside and their run in about 50 yards away. However, I think some silkies are quieter than others so maybe you will end up with quiet...
