Thanks! "Roy" doesn't pay any attention to the new guy or his hens. He just manages his 11 girls. Should I put them outside? The run has a back yard and a front yard.
They won't hang with the other roo and his girls. They don't fight or anything. In fact they will even roost next to the others. As soon as I open the pop up door, all my original chickens and roo, go outside. Then the other roo and his girls jump down from the roost, and eat like they are...
I separated my hen from the rest when I found the same symptoms. I only noticed her standing away from the rest. This morning I opened the cage to pet her, and she just fell over :( I am certain I am too late as well.
When it started getting really hot, my 10 hens went from 7 to 10 eggs a day, to 4 or 5. More recently when the temps started dropping I have been getting only 0 - 3! This is BAAAAAD! Now they are molting! I am afraid pretty soon I will have to buy eggs instead of sell them!

I had been trying to get my husband to say, "BYEBYE" to the rooster. Yesterday, he saw for himself how mean he was to the girls and sent him to rooster heaven! I am so glad! I expect to see more eggs soon and less feathers gone from the girlies too! Thanks for the advice!
My little americauna hen is the best layer, however, she is always picked on and her back is bald. I have been putting peck no more on her. More resently, I have noticed that just about EVERY hen has been pecked at! I believe it is the americauna rooster! They are always screaming out there! He...
