    Hi I have 4 chickens that generally lay every day. One of them takes 1-2 days off and then lays a bigger egg possibly double yolk. The smaller is the normal size. Could this be not getting enough of something or just that every chicken is different?

    I tried a new batch of ff as oatmeal consistency but they haven't been eating it as much as an inch of water on top. How long does the feed last if you don't add any fresh stuff and is it normal to have a gray layer on top. It smells mostly the same.

    Ok cool so the next batch I do I will just make it moist and not wet. I know what you mean about the greyish white layer. Thank you very much this will make it much easier.
