Biddy is such a beautiful blue chicken! I have never seen that before. This might be a silly question, but will he stay blue-colored like that into adulthood?

Hi there! I am new to raising chickens myself and I have 3 Easter Eggers that look EXACTLY like your chicks do...so, in agreement with everyone else above, I'd say they are Easter Eggers!

Good gosh! My 3 week old chicks are eating like crazy! I have 3 Easter Eggers, 3 Australorps and 3 Plymouth Rocks and we are going through a 5lb bag of chick starter every 2 days! I wish our Agway sold that stuff in 20lb bags!
Are there any "treats" I can give them? I dont want to disturb...

I have them in the mudroom of our house - so I get to see them frequently...plus I work nights (from my house) so I'll be checking in on them a lot tonight. Thanks for the reassurance...now I wont worry! :)
Good gosh - every time I check in on the chicks they are always happily hopping around the crate, eating, stretching...doing whatever it is that 3-day old chicks do...but they never seem to be sleeping! I had assumed at night time they would settle down and go to sleep - but its getting pretty...

Wow. That was fast...I tried the sugar water...and HER EYES OPENED almost immediately! :) She had a few gulps of water, then walked over to the feeder and started eating!

I just got our chicks in the mail today and one of them (an easter egger) will not open her eyes. I tried to gently open them using a warm, wet paper towel (I thought they might be stuck shut) and found she is capable of opening them - but keeps them closed.
She is peeping (loudly!) and has had...
