well I candled the ones that are due this weekend and had 3 that had stopped but the rest are moving. So I guess I will say a prayer and cross my fingers.
I do think that the weather here played a factor. It turned of so hot and humid the past 2 weeks. And they are others in the area that said they...
When my dh gathers eggs each day he takes the flat that contains the other eggs that he has gathered till the flat is full.Could that be causing a shipped egg effect with them?
Anyone else having trouble hatching lately?
My first 2 hatches did really well but since the middle of May my hatches have been awful. The one I have hatching now I have only gotten 3 out of 36 to hatch out.Temp and humidity have been steady and the eggs are from my hens so it wasn't due to...
I'm having the same problems too.My first hatch this year was good and now even though everythings the same I having chicks not hatching. It's really starting to get depressing.
I set mine on 5-22-11 and I have 3 of 36 out already.I'm so hoping to have a decent hatch this time.First hatch I had about 60% hatch out but then then next ones only 2 out of 30.I did everything the same but for some reason it was just a bad hatch. So I am really nervous about this one.
I need some ideas for keeping my chicks separated during hatching. We are raising different bloodlines and there's no way to tell some apart.Any ideas would be very helpful.
I'm one day 21 and the worst part of this hatch for me is that the incubator we're using on these has a solid wood door and I can't see anything.I'm wanting to open it so badly and check for pips .Before we do another hatch in it I told dh that he's going to have to put a window of some kind it.
Thanks.Hubby always wants to do things different. He was wanting to put them in an extra bedroom and since each room is heated and cooled separately he thought we could just keep the brooder in there with out having to use a heat lamp.
