Q: What research does Purina do on their feeds?

I would imagine it is private research. But tons of research from universities can be found on google.

     Powdered Oyster Shell

I have extra agricultural pyster shell. It is in a fine powdered form. Ive never bought shell for chickens, but I assume it comes crumble-like. Is the powdered stuff ok to feed them? Should it be fed on the side or can I mux it in their food? Why? Also a similiar question, what are the pro...

     Chickens wont lay in coop!

I have multiple nest boxes yet all my hens lay in one box. Maybe start a nest and add an egg to the nest boxes to help them get the idea.

    Coop and run doorknobs

Door handles or knobs? I dont see a coon opening a knob, even with thumbs. Its possible but unlikely. This thread reminds me of the scene in Jurassic Park when the raptors enter the kitchen.

    hens wont go inside

I just got my first chickens 6 laying hens and 5 teens. Im pretty sure one of the teens is a cockerel. Half are welsummer and the other half are wyandotte. Anyways, I first built the chickens an outdoor run on the side of my shed. I gave them 4 big nest boxes. They all stayed here for about 3...
