Thank you for your thoughts :( They were not vaccinated to my knowledge. I have done little research on the disease. I hope it will not wipe them all out. But I suppose there is not much I can do to prevent it at this point.

I have 13 hens. Every so often, one of my nests will be covered in yolk. No remnants of any shell, no cracked eggs. Just a yolk in the nest. Why would this be happening? I've never figured out who is laying it. Thanks!

It is normal for them to stay in place for the first week. My frizzled cochins will stay on the nest for about a week before beginning to move off. Put food and water close, she will eventually start going farther with them.

Actually after much time googling... it does look a lot like a black Australop chick. No feathers on legs so it's definitely not a maran.
