I had a small Pekin duckling hatch who had a messed up left leg. His little webbed foot is curled up and he kinda limps around.. Some of my ducks are going to be kept here, as pets, but others are going to be sold. [of course, he would be kept here] but I'm not really sure if he would be able to...
So you want $20 for the two eggs? Will you offer anymore eggs? I've been wanting a couple peacock eggs. I'm in PA though so I don't know if shipping would be safe. And can i incubate them with my pekin eggs?
I was told you're not suppose to use them with any small animal when they're confined to that area because they'll constantly have to breath it in and it'll cause respiratory problems.
A new Pekin Duckling hatched last night in my incubator and his leg is a little deformed. It's the part where the webbing is actually, it curls up. My mom said we can try to do a splint type thing but it didn't work when we had chickens so she doubts it'll work now. It looks like the egg shell...

Pekin ducks make up 95% of all duck meat consumed in the U.S. [ I believe that's correct, if not, blame the web, not me ]
Pekins were also bred to be huge egg layers. The babies are adorable! And they are a very hardy bird to incubate and raise.
They also have amazing personalities...
I would just let it go.. because if you help you stand a more chance of hurting it. Plus, I'd rather know that the duck was too weak to hatch than me trying to help but really hurting the poor thing.
I see that this person [ https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=155586 ] put the eggs up in cartons to hold them up. I have a cardboard one, should I try that?
I've had duck eggs in the bator and a few days ago one started to hatch, it sadly didn't make it out of the shell Could anything I have done caused this? I have one who has pipped today, but the pip was on the bottom of the shell. Is that normal?
