Hi, How old will they be when you butcher them?

I like the K22 from Moyers. They definetly grow slower then the cornish. I did 50 this fall at 10 weeks they averaged 5lb cleaned and 12 weeks they averaged 5.5

I didnt know you were supposed to wait so long. I put my four Bronze turkeys out at 2 weeks. They are now 4 weeks old and seem ok.

I am in Philly and will take them for free!

They are part of my 50 chick order from Ideal. I am very happy with them. I received one DOA and had one died a day later. Other then that they seem very healthy!

I just uploaded a picture. The top of thier head the comb kinda lays flat.

I was given 3 -10 month old pullets. The lady did not know what kind they were but said they were laying white eggs. They have the same coloring as my Easter Egger but have white ear lobes. Their comb is split on the top and lays down on either side. Sorry but I do not have a picture at this...

Hi John, I would suggest 3 or 4 of the same knid. That way if someting happens to one you will still have a pair.

Sounds like you need to lance it and clean it out. I did it and then just wrapped with Vet Wrap. Chicken was fine after that. Two weeks later a hawk got her.

I was also wondering if the tub style plucker was better then the pickwick style

I found a guy selling a Pickwick Model HPD and a fiberglass scalder. He said they are in very good condition. He wants $400.00 for both. Has anyone ever used that type of plucker? Does the price sound good? Is it worth buying for 100 chickens per year? Thanks for any input
