One of my chickens look like she’s in pain sometimes, this is the third time I saw it happen but it might’ve happened when I wasn’t there as well. She would stay still, put her head down, and start making this sound like she’s in pain while kinda moving her head around.
Here’s a short clip of...
Kk, btw a question - is it possible for coccidiosis to go away on its own? He was a lot more energetic this morning and no signs of cocci aside from droppings with blood & yellow liquid - and I’m not sure which chick it came from.
Okay I will tomorrow, should I do it for his whole group? And yeah I was able to treat my silkies, I have an open packet of Axylin (Amprolium + Sulfaquinoxaline) - can I still use that?
I'll elevate the feeder & find alternative bedding for them since I can't buy any right now, thanks!
He was fine a couple of days ago and I just noticed a change in his behavior yesterday. He’s not moving much and doesn’t eat - earlier he ate some mealworms from my hand but now he refuses to eat even that.
I have water with garlic for him and tried making him drink it, I probably managed to...
Oh no, the other chicks keep pecking the two girls in the head :(
She’s doing better now tho!
I already did prior to this post (Axylin) and she’s okay now...scared of me tho
I think I have 1 male and 2 female RIRs but I’m not sure about my PBRs, one already has a pinkish comb and has a darker look, but the other two are also quite aggressive which makes me think they might be males.
LMK!
It would suck if this was the case because she's so fluffy. My mom was able to hand feed her a treat tho so hopefully it's just a matter of time!
Oww, I've been grabbing them every now and then because someone told me it would help tame them, but I'll stop.
I have 3 silkies and I isolated one after I recently got them because she seemed really sick. During the isolation period I had to force her to drink medicated water because she wouldn’t drink and I also trimmed her “hair” a bit to see better.
Now whenever I hand feed them she just pecks stuff...
I have 3 3 month old silkies and I put about 1/3 cup of feed 3x a day and they never finish their food. They don’t even seem to eat half of it. Is this normal or are they eating less than normal?
Unfortunately due to the whole COVID-19 lockdown vet that serves chickens here is closed :(
I saw one of my chickens poop this out today (first pic as it was, second is after spreading it with cardboard)
The particular chicken that pooped it pooped it out seems to open her mouth a lot to...
