Ash...I keep Asil(several different lines) also bantam asil, Bantam Malay, and lg fowl dark cornish...of course now there are also the orloffs. I personally have never seen an Irish Muff here in the states,but if you wanted to find someone who would know...check the ultimate fowl breeders list...

i have always understood mottle to be a white marking anywhere on a solid color feather feather...black is the most common, but any solid color feather can be mottled....spangle must be a solid color with a black line then a white tip...a tri colored feather.

Been watching and reading all the posts...finally got a pic of my orloffs today...they dont hold still very well. New to the breed Got them on a whim, I have raised Asil, LF Cornish, And Bantam Malay for a long while. These guys are certainly different. So far they are taking our in excess...
Well I dont know what breed, so let say they are oriental,from the looks of things they are very young, and I think the darker bird looks to be a young stag, more forward comb, and curved tail feathers. But it would for sure not be the first time i was wrong!......Seems like you would have...
dark cornish are (should) be very distinct chipmunk type, some are a tad less well marked and those tend to be to light
I believe dark cornish are E+ with a columbian marker...but i could be wrong

Thanks Guys, the blue red in two photos is a Malay bantam, hard to see in photos, and the black is 1/2 Rampuri, 1/2 Tuzo, a new addition for me this season. So yes, they are all Asils depending on your school. Here is a body shot of the little Malay, still cant see him to well he is a bad photo...
