Review by '' on item 'Barred Rock'

Unbelievably, my babies are already laying- at 4 1/2 months! Two out of four... excellent breed, they are sweet natured and healthy. I wish I could tell them apart LOL

    calling any one from missouri

Drat, I wish I'd known that a few weeks ago! My coop is only big enough for 6 hens, so I will just have to hang in there and be patient.

    Conflicting gender signs-11 weeks

I have a pair of Americuana chickens, 11 weeks old. One has a pale, undeveloped comb AND a cock/sickle feather, the other has a red, larger comb and NO cock feather. The undeveloped comb chicken behaves rather aggressively. Please tell me if you think they are both roos! I really want hens.

    Chickens and Ducks????

I got my two White Rock hens and my Kahki Campbell duck on the same day in July when they were all just bitty babies. They have lived together all their lives. When you keep chickens and ducks together, you can't use the usual chicken feeder and waterer because the duck can't get his mouth in...

Where to Buy Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth?

I need diatomaceous earth for the deep wood chip bedding technique inside the coop, but Tractor Supply just sells the kind for drying horse stalls. I doubt that it is food grade, does it really matter? Where else should I look? I'm in Kansas City, Missouri. Thanks!
