I have just recently weaned a baby from the bottle. He started out on goats milk (you can buy at walmart), but then I switched slowly over to whole cows milk, because it was easier to find and cheaper. He did very well with both. I don't think I would recommend infant formula. Good luck!
So I have read all the literature on the internet. My kid is 6 weeks old and I think its time to neuter him. What do you think is the best method? Banding, cutting, burdizzo??? Any advice would be much appreciated!
I am in the same boat. My goat is 6 weeks old. I have yet to find it a companion. He is still on the bottle 3 times a day. So I don't think I can send him outside yet. Is that correct?
What is the appropriate age to band them? He was born on Dec 7th. I don't really have an interest in breeding goats, just keeping them as pets. Thanks for all the advice!
I am brand new to the world of country living and small farms. I am just starting out and I have so many questions. So thankful I found this site! I currently have a 1 month old nigerian dwarf. I got him when he was 1 week old. He has been on the bottle since then. He was started on store...
What beautiful girls! I am a new goat owner myself. I happened across a 10 day old Nigerian dwarf baby and now we are bottle feeding him in our house. I have never had goats before so this is all so new to me!
Good luck with everything!
