They already have access to oyster shells and have ACV in their water. I switch between that and an electrolyte/vitamin supplement. Figured it’s just old age, but haven’t had any older hens yet so wasn’t sure.

Yes! That’s what I told my husband it probably was (voice change/like puberty).... I didn’t hear it myself for a few days, his peeping was different, changing, but seemingly normal. I didn’t realize he was talking about crowing until I heard it early this morning when I woke the boy up! Hahaha

First I’ve heard of it so young! But glad to know it happens Now to finish the big coop so we can move this noisy one out of the house and into the little coop!

If I could let you in my head you could see the plans, by covered I am referring to a solid roof. The rest of the run would be covered with wire. Any comments on using 6’ 2x3 welded wire with 1/2 hardware cloth 3’ feet up?

Hello- In the process of building a new coop and run, most of the run will be covered but also some that is uncovered. On the perimeter I am hoping to put up 2x4 welded wire with 1/2” hardware cloth 3-4’ up on the bottom. Has anyone does this. Any success? Any pictures? Thanks
