    HUGE Egg

    Same thing happened to us. Have 3 layers and were getting consistent 2" eggs, then this one. All I can say is OUCH! Haven't had another since and didn't seem to effect the one who laid it as she went back to the regular size ever since.

    Ouch! I had the same thing a few weeks back. Three layers giving consistent 3 eggs a day (2" long) and then all of a sudden, this! Haven't had another like it since. Probably just as well. If I was a chicken and this started happening with any consistency, I'd probably stop laying! Good...

    Very nice job! I see some similarities but mine isn't quite as tall. Just finished 2 weeks ago for our three girls. They are loving life in their new home. Yes, a coat of paint makes all the difference in the world. Not sure if you guys have anything similar up there in Seattle but down...
