    They don't like to be locked in at night, so they have been sleeping outside for over a month now. So far, it has worked. They have access to a bigger pond where they flee in case something comes in.

    My ducks behave very differently, they really don't like to be in their pen. So now, I just let them sleep in the pond, the pen is always open for feed and they lay their eggs right next to the pond and also drink from the pond. That's way easier and they should be safe from predators on the water.

    I have Runners and Campbells, they behave the same. Always in or at the pond no matter what time, no matter how cold... if ice starts forming they keep swimming to keep it from freezing completely.

    Hi, I put up a 18l bucket (picture) in my duck pen for 36 ducks. They managed to empty the whole bucket in one night only and made a complete mess, water everywhere... Is there any way to provide your ducks with water in their pen for them to only drink it whithout them spreading it everywhere...
