Feather Picking, questions, causes, etc. Help!

Hi All, There's a lot here, so bear with me. I have five chickens, couple EE's, a BO, a Golden Sexlink, and a Cuckoo Maran. Any who, the BO, which are supposed to be very friendly chickens, for the past couple weeks, has been picking at an EE and the Golden. Neck feathers. Doesn't seem...

    Wheezy chicken

She's been fine the last two days, so pretty sure this isn't an issue anymore. Must have been something she ate (thankfully). So, I'm happy to start another thread on this, but I'm curious: Do most people bother vaccinating their chickens?

She seems good today, or at least can't hear anything. I'll keep an ear out, but hopefully it was just, as you say, something stuck. Just seems weird that drinking and eating wouldn't clear that... but then, maybe I don't understand chicken physiology.

    Wheezy chicken

Hello all, I have an EE that has been seemingly wheezing on every exhale. I believe it's been a little bit, but we really noticed today. She's eating and drinking, but the sound is a little concerning. Here's a recording of the sound... she keeps her beak closed while making this sound, but...

yay! Now if they'd just start laying... we just started putting out oyster shells as a "if you want it". They do seem to be eating it... so we'll see. =) Thanks everyone!

    Hello!

Thanks very much everyone! Already got an answer about my gender question (sadly, a cockerel). But I think my other 5 are good to go (haven't confirmed, but they all look much more pullet than this one did). 1/6 being miss-classed. That normal, high, low?

Thanks all! And just to be clear, these are the other 5... they all look very pullet like to me. But, also hard to get pictures when they're all running after whatever you give them to get them into shot. =P Thanks!

No crowing or practicing that we've heard. But yeah, those are what I thought. He's very handsome. I love the little splash of red. And interesting about EE's. I had been told they were the same. So good to know they're not. :) Thanks for the quick responses. :)

****. :/ place we got them does a "swap meet" of sorts, so maybe take him to that. The others seem much more obviously pullets. What gives him away as far as roo? Also, what's EE?

All, I'll admit it. This is the main reason I signed up for this forum. But, I am sure I'm going to get much more use out of it (reading and asking questions). I have a total of six (hopefully) pullets, but one of the ameraucana's sure is hard to figure out gender. None of them have laid yet...

    Hello!

Hello All, Just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Ryan, and I'm in Springfield, OR. My wife talked me into BYC for both the reason our toddler son should have some "pets" (animals), and because at the time he was eating at least 4 eggs a day (he's just three now). We have six...
