    I have 7 2 week old chicks. I ran out of chick starter food. (I know bad move on my part) I haven't had a chance to get to the store to buy food due to my work schedule. Is it safe to supplement with layer feed for a couple of days?

    I understand your concern. Ususally my niece will just hold the chick in her lap and pet it. It took a bit for even that to happen. But she is scared to actually hold them but likes having them in her lap. I dont remember my other flocks being this scared at all
